I should probably note here that odd days are with canon characters and even days are with my OCs (all fics are in YGO!AU).
Anne walks through the Lunar City, looking for Emily. Queen Reine was expecting them back an hour ago. Sure, she always says she's expecting them back at a certain time and then doesn't care if they're back late, but with the Lunar Festival coming up, they need to be at the palace to help with preparations.
And Anne hates being out here during the winter season. Sometimes, especially with how long the seasons can be here, it feels like it'll never be warm again. At least the palace has heating.
She spots Emily talking to one of the shopkeepers. She heads over as they finish their conversation.
Emily turns to face her. "I got almost to where we decided to meet back up, but I remembered that the Queen wanted me to get her a couple suzu bells. And Leo's been looking for a study-dedicated omamori to help prepare for his exams in a few months."
They already have everything for the festival so the suzu are probably for the small ceremony they're having at the Cherry Blossom Garden in the palace later this month.
Anne grabs Emily's gloved hand in hers. They walk in silence back to the palace.
