Yugi hands Atem a mug of hot chocolate before sitting beside him on the couch. Atem sets his mug on the end table and adjusts the blanket—light blue with snowflakes on it—so it covers both of them.
Yugi turns the TV to a cooking video on Youtube. It's days like this when he's glad Grandpa had central heating and cooling put in both Kame Game and the house despite it not being common in Japan at the time.
Atem puts his head on Yugi's shoulder. The wind audibly picks up outside and Yugi hears his mother get out the box of candles just in case.
He closes his eyes and silently hopes that they continue to have days like these.
