Including WIPs, how many fics have you worked on since January 1st? Original fiction counts too!
Including original fiction, I worked on 22 this year.

How many did you post for other people to read?

15 of the above were posted.

What's something NEW that you tried in a fic?

The email section in Possibility of Overexposure.

What piece of media inspired you the most?

This is a hard question, but either slice-of-life stuff in general or Fatal Frame.

How many fandoms did you write for?

Just Yu-Gi-Oh!

What ship(s) captured your heart?

Anne/Emily came out of nowhere when I was writing and now I love the two of them together.

What character(s) captured your heart?

Probably Ryou purely because I love the idea of urban explorer Ryou so much.

Did you write for any new fandoms or ships?

Technically not a new fandom, but I've never really written anything down for the original characters in YGO!AU. And like I said above, Anne/Emily kind of came out of nowhere.

What fic meant the most to you to write?

Not 1 fic, but the Winter Solstice Countdown in general.

What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?

Same as above.

What fic was the most satisfying to finish?

Camera Obscura Acquired.

What fic was the most challenging to work on?

Possibility of Overexposure. I'm still not entirely happy with it.

What's the most interesting topic you researched for a fic?

Central heating in Japan.

What were your shortest and longest fics?

My shortest was Day 5 of the Winter Solstice Countdown at 98 words. My longest was Possibility of Overexposure at 560 words.

What was on your writing playlist?

A lot of Lo-fi, some Touhou fan music, artcore, J-pop, Vocaloid, EDM, nightcore, and probably some things I'm forgetting.

Where did you write? Was there a favorite spot?

At my desk.

What’s your favorite title of the year?

I guess Discount Chocolate.

Share your favorite opening line

Anne sits at the kotatsu, the blank back of an ema with a cherry blossom branch on it in front of her.

From Winter Solstice Countdown Day 4.

Share your favorite ending line

As the two leave, Ryou tries to figure out what he's gotten himself into.

From Camera Obscura Acquired.

Share your favorite piece of dialogue

Ryou looks over his shoulder at him. "Because you know you're the only one who will come with me. And if I die, who's going to pay our rent?"

"I could talk Marik into paying it," Bakura says as they go around a corner.

Also from Camera Obscura Acquired.

Share the funniest line(s) you wrote this year

The above dialogue.

Did you get frustrated with a fic at some point? What happened and how did you get past it?

Possibility of Overexposure. I was definitely being a perfectionist about it. I decided to just post it since part of this year was me trying to get over everything having to be perfect.

If you had to choose one, what was THE most satisfying writing moment of your year?

Finishing writing everything for the Winter Solstice Countdown. It's the first time I wrote for any sort of themed event.

Did you do anything special to celebrate finishing something?

No.

Did you create fanworks other than fic? Show one off!

Nothing that I want to share.

How many fannish events did you take part in? Things like bangs, exchanges, ship weeks, zines, prompt memes, etc. They all count!

Just Sapphic Stocking Stuffers.

Think back on everything you've worked on since January and give yourself a compliment. A real one! Be nice to yourself.

You finished a lot of things. I know that sometimes it doesn't feel like you never finish anything, but you finished 15 fics and a demo for a horror VN! That's something to be proud of.

If this were an awards show, who would you thank?

Kazuki Takahashi for creating Yu-Gi-Oh and the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom. His spirit will always be with us.

I would also like to thank anyone who has read any of my writing this year and everyone who has left their thoughts about it. Every nice comment is in a folder on my computer.

What’s left on your to-do list for 2025?

Nothing.

What would you like to write next year?

I want to participate in more fandom events, finish the 3rd story in the YGO/Fatal Frame Fusion AU, and write for other fandoms.
