11/10/25 - 11/22/25
Nov. 23rd, 2025 12:22 pmThe week journal completely slipped my mind last week so I'm including it here.
I haven't read any books the past 2 weeks.
I made an asset list for the horror VN demo and the total cost isn't great. I know 1 sprite is probably going to cost more because of their expression count. And I'm probably going to have to pay someone to make character reference sheets for both of them. I'm hoping to do the UI design myself, but if that doesn't work out I'll have to add prices for that.
Playing Little Problems reminded me what I originally wanted a mystery series I'm working on to be like so I'm doing planning for that. I have another game completely planned out, but it's probably mostly going to have to wait until I have the demo for the horror VN out.
In other news, I'm now on a med for my anxiety. I had some drowsiness the first day, but so far it hasn't continued to happen. And I think it's helping.
I haven't read any books the past 2 weeks.
- I played more Royal Alchemist. There's so much to skip through before I get to where I was before. (And I keep failing the skill checks so I have to start over a lot.)
- I played Two Point Museum. I've been slowly playing it and I finally got the second plot for the first museum.
- I played more of the Demon Bluff Playtest.
- I played more Frostrain. I actually made it further this time somehow. I'm probably going to have to look at strategy guides to actually beat it.
- I played through a bit of Witchy Life Story. I'm not even at the halfway point yet, but it's fun. There is a freeplay mode after, but apparently it doesn't involve the main mechanic of the game so that's disappointing.
- I played Little Problems. It was fun.
- Played more Left 4 Dead. We finished two campaigns the past two weeks.
- Played Unboxing the Cryptic Killer. It was fun, but there were a few points where we got stuck. Sometimes there were clues for something, but we had no idea what to do with the clues. I did pretty much figure out the ending before it happened.
- I played Carefully Stamped. It's fun and definitely more relaxing (and less frustrating) than Ship Inc. I am playing on creative mode and I'm glad because from looking at the hints for what they want, there's times where it's fine and times where it's very unclear.
- I played more Slay the Spire.
- Galaxy Princess Zorana came out (it released Friday) and I spent pretty much all day after we finished Unboxing the Cryptic Killer yesterday playing it. It's been fun. I had a skill check happen during my first playthrough that hasn't happened since so I have no idea what triggered it. I'm probably eventually going to stumble across it again and be as unprepared as I was the first time.
