Oct. 4th, 2025 09:02 pmI read this a few months ago, but I figured I should have this backed up somewhere. These reviews contain spoilers.

Review: The conversation between Jane and Prudence at the beginning felt a little disjointed, but other than that I enjoyed it. The twist did slightly feel like it came out of nowhere.

Review: This one's from the POV of St. Mary Mead's vicar. I also enjoyed this one. The first person POV took a few paragraphs to get used to after the first story since that was in 3rd, but it flowed well after that.
Stars: 5
Review: Miss Marple goes with her nephew Raymond and his wife Joan to see a play adaptation of his latest novel. This one was also enjoyable.
Stars: 5
Review: This one is from the POV of Susan, one of Miss Marple's friends. I actually guessed part of the twist about halfway through this one (that Martin was actually the real Mr. Weaver). Didn't guess the killer right though. So far, this makes three stories in 3rd POV.

Review: Miss Marple, her nephew, and his wife spend Christmas at a friend's house. This one's just about a theft (and a form of identity fraud). 3rd person.
Stars: 5
Review: Miss Marple accompanies Sir Aaron Kahn to the Founder's Day dinner at St. Bede's College. Killing someone so you can plant forged letters to 'prove' your academic obsession is wild. 3rd person.
Stars: 5
Review: Miss Marple goes on a cruise. 3rd person.
Stars: 5
Review: This one takes place at Miss Bella Baptiste's (Miss Marple's friend from St. Honoré) niece's wedding. Miss Bella has a reputation as an amateur detective in London's Caribbean community. The groom's father, Herbert, invited the murder victim, Louise, to the wedding. Marie, the bride, supposedly doesn't remember how she met her husband, Peter.
Louise poisoned herself. This one was kind of a mess, but in a good way.
Stars: 1
Review: This one's the first person POV of an author, Felix Jeffries. The conclusion of this one was really disappointing. It feels like Miss Marple was just put in the story to make it fit a Marple anthology. I might have liked this one a little bit more in a different anthology or as a standalone.
Stars: 5
Review: This is from the 3rd person POV of the Raymond's granddaughter, Nicola. Nicola, Miss Marple, and Miss Marple's companion Cherry are spending time at house in Cape Cod that Raymond rented. Nicola's friend Diana Westover's grandfather, Josiah, is convinced that his family is trying to kill him.
Diana poisoned Josiah so I guess he was right.

Review: Miss Marple is visiting her friend Emmeline Strickert in Fishbourne, Sussex after two days in London with her nephew and his wife. The murderer had gotten away with two murders and was planning another. 3rd person.
Stars: 4
Review: Miss Marple is visiting her nephew and his wife at their London flat. Dolly Bantry (whose house they stayed in during Miss Marple's Christmas) calls the flat asking for Miss Marple. There's been a disappearance at St. Mary Mead. She gets back and finds out from Cherry that there's been a possible murder.
There's a lot happening at the end of this one. 3rd person.
